How Bad Posture Affects your Body

At Cleary Family Chiropractic, we advise our patients to practice good posture at work. If you are dealing with neck and upper back pain, there is a good chance a change in your posture has taken a toll on your body. Over time, putting unnecessary strain on your back adds up and can increase your neck and back pain by 50%.

When possible, we encourage our patients who work at a desk job to get up and stretch every half hour so your back stays loose and your muscles don’t tighten up. While at work remember to not slouch in your chair and to have your feet on the floor and your back pressed firmly against the chair.

It is important to seek professional help for your neck and back pain fi you are experiencing pain in your arms, headaches, numbness or tingling into your arms, and weakness. Our doctors use therapy techniques such as adjustments, decompression, Laster therapy, electrical stimulation, and ultrasound to treat the pain from bad posture.
