Back Pain and Posture

While back injuries may occur at the gym or doing something as simple as picking something off the ground, years of bad posture may have taken a toll on your back. Over time, putting unnecessary strain on your back adds up and can increase your back pain by up to 50%. Our doctors at Clearly Chiropractic care encourages our patient who is dealing with back pain s to use chiropractic treatments to relieve pain and to improve your posture. When possible, we encourage our patients who sit for long periods of time to get up and stretch every half hour to keep your back loose and your muscles from tightening up. We recommend that our patients sit up straight with their backs to the chair and not slouching. Your computer screen should also be in direct line with your eyesight and your feet on the floor. Treating Sports Injuries without Surgery

At our practice, Dr. Matt Cleary encourages patients to consider chiropractic care for sports injuries. We use spinal adjustments and physical therapy techniques to relieve pain caused by sports and to help prevent re-injury. During your first visit with Dr. Matt Cleary, he will assess and diagnose your injury while creating a treatment plan to begin the recovery process. Chiropractors are trained to manage sports injuries through joint manipulation, soft tissue therapies, and individual exercises to properly heal an injury. Regardless of the injury, we treat the entire body and not one specific area that is causing pain. Medical doctors treat each injury individually and not the body as a whole. Chiropractic care is an all-natural alternative to surgery and painkillers which is only a temporary solution to your pain. Our goal is to keep you on the field and off of the sidelines which is why we g

Ice Pack Cryotherapy

At Clearly Family Chiropractic, we offer what is called ice pack cryotherapy to our patients to help treat injuries. Ice pack therapy uses a cold compress on your skin that helps to reduce the temperature of your skin and constrict blood vessels in the area. When you use cold compresses right after an injury it helps to reduce pain, swelling, and inflammation. Along with relieving pain right after an injury, ice pack cryotherapy is useful in dealing with muscle spasms. Cold pressure on your muscle spasms helps to numb the painful area’s and loosen up the joints and soft tissues. Patients that have arthritis may also benefit from ice pack cryotherapy to reduce their pain and mobility. We encourage our patients who are suffering from pain to ask us if ice pack cryotherapy is right for you. Cold compresses are no longer for fresh injuries as they are useful long after the initial injury and can help to reduce pain and increase mobility in your joints.
